Galloway Vets can trace its history back over 150 years to Thomas Campbell, one of the first vets to graduate from Glasgow Vet School, who set up practice upon graduating in 1867. Since then the practice has served the Kirkcudbrightshire community from various locations, finally settling in the current premises in Gas Lane in 1983.
As a committed, genuinely mixed species practice, throughout its history Galloway Vets has always sought to ensure the health and welfare of all animals committed into its care.
Farm Animals
At Galloway Vets we work with farms of all shapes and sizes and are proud to offer innovative animal health solutions to all our livestock keeping clients. We take a pragmatic approach to holistic herd and flock health care, always aiming to improve health, welfare and productivity through disease prevention and promotion of best farming practices.
Companion Animals
At Galloway Vets we believe in traditional values of customer service and continuity of care, we aim to make any trip to the vets as easy and stress free for everyone as possible, pets and owners included! Our full range of diagnostic and laboratory equipment allow us to make accurate diagnosis and monitor ongoing conditions effectively, we are also equipped to perform routine and emergency surgeries.
Galloway Pet Plan
The Galloway Pet Plan allows pet owners to spread the costs of annual vaccination and routine flea, tick and worm control into a discounted regular monthly payment, along with offering discounted rates on other products and services.
